Welcome to Iron & Steam, a journal of industry, history, and the societal changes brought by the rapid pace of new technologies. We focus on the changes of the industrial, Victorian, and Edwardian ages, ranging from the latter half of the 18th Century to the early 20th Century. We are dedicated to collecting source materials and contemporary materials covering both those periods, and the popular view of them (in turn covering a myriad of historical reimaginings and imagined histories).
